Coming 2018, Citadines Fangshan Beijing and Changyang World Serviced Residence will make its foray into Fangshan, a district southwest of Beijing's buzzing downtown region. The two separate structures will be built within the same compound called the Vanke Changyang World, which will contain retail outlets, residences, convenience stores and restaurants.
The development will sit in the centre of Fangshan's shopping belt, just a skip away from key locations of interest, such as the district's government office, Liangxiang College Town, Beijing Capital Outlets and the Beijing Lianhua Supermarket, a welcome convenience for those who prefer to prepare their own meals. Alternatively, pick from a veritable feast of restaurants and eateries available at the residence's doorstep - from hand-pulled noodles and hotpots to meat pies, Fangshan has them all.
The World Geothermal Natural Science Park and Changyang Sports Park are also close by, and travellers looking to make a trip downtown will be pleased to know that the serviced residence is a short walk away from the Libafang and Renmin University subways stations. The South Railway Station is also a quick 30-minute drive away and Beijing's Daxing International Airport is 40 minutes away.
For travellers seeking Chinese culture, Fangshan caters to that too. Zhoukoudian, a UNESCO Heritage site valued for its cultural remains and animal fossils from 5 million years ago to 10,000 years ago makes for an awe-inspiring trip. Those desiring respite from the concrete jungle will be spoilt for choice with Fangshan's numerous scenic spots such as Shidu's karst landscape, the Stoneflower Cave and natural ancient forests in the Shangfang Mountains.
Citadines Fangshan Beijing is designed to offer independent travellers a flexible menu of services to customise their stay according to their lifestyles, alongside a mix of studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments. Changyang World Serviced Residence Beijing on the other hand is well suited for families.
Both serviced residences will be connected through a shared lobby and guests from both residences are encouraged to make full use of on-site facilities such as the swimming pool, sauna, gymnasium, residents' lounge, business centre and children's playground.
